Dr. Samantha A. Toerge

Dr. Samantha A. Toerge is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in general medical (adult and pediatric) and cosmetic dermatology. It is her mission to provide the highest level of medical care to her patients.

She enjoys being a medical dermatologist who focuses on skin cancer screenings, treatment and prevention, treatment of rashes, acne treatments and hair and nail disorders.

She offers a full range of the most up to date and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures which include Botox ®, Dysport®, Restylane®, laser resurfacing with the Fraxel® Dual System for fine lines, dark spots and acne scarring, laser hair removal, laser treatments for redness and dark spots and chemical peels. It is her goal to use cosmetic procedures to achieve a natural and refreshed appearance. She also focuses on preventing pre-mature aging and sun damage. Dr. Toerge works with her patients to decide the appropriate treatment to meet their unique goals.

Dr. Toerge completed her undergraduate education at Amherst College , in Amherst Massachusetts, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania graduating with multiple honors including membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for Scholastic Achievement, The William Likoff, M.D. Award for Distinction in the Care of Medical Patients and Commitment to Academic Excellence and scoring within the top 97-98% of all medical students on all of her licensing examinations. She completed her residency at Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, District of Columbia, where she was the Chief Resident of Dermatology. Dr. Toerge also completed a research fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center, researching the latest treatments for psoriasis and acne.

Dr. Toerge is regularly included in Washingtonian's Top Doctors list and The Best of Bethesda Magazine. She was President of the Washington DC Dermatological Society during the 2020-21 academic year, which is a society dedicated to dermatology education in the DC area.

Dr. Toerge is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Toerge is a Washington, DC metro area native. She graduated from Winston Churchill High School in Maryland. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, socializing with friends, playing tennis, and practicing yoga.

Dr. Alicia Braun is a Maryland native from Severna Park MD. She attended Princeton University for her undergraduate studies, and University of Maryland for Medical School and internship. Dermatology residency at the Washington Hospital Center was completed in 2001. Since that time she has worked with her father and siblings in Foggy Bottom. Her father, Martin Braun III, was the first dermatologist in the Washington DC area to offer Mohs surgery, a specialized technique for removing skin cancer. While Alicia Braun does not perform Mohs surgery, she does focus on the detection of skin cancers through thorough head-to-toe skin checks. While medical dermatology is her primary focus, she is well-versed in cosmetic dermatology, including neurotoxins, lasers, and fillers. Dr. Braun is available for appointments on Mondays.

Dr. Braun is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at George Washington University . Professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Now a resident of Chevy Chase MD, Dr. Alicia Braun is married with three young children. Her free time is largely spent with her children, but when time allows she enjoys walking, hiking, and visiting her parents on Kent Island.

Meaghan Canton Feder, CRNP, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She spent three years working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Georgetown University Hospital before graduating from the Georgetown University School of Nursing’s Nurse Practitioner Masters Program. Meaghan subsequently spent two years training in dermatology under Georgetown University Hospital’s Chair of the Division of Dermatology.

Meaghan has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at MedStar Washington Hospital Center Georgetown University Hospital Dermatology for over 15 years. She is excited to join the Chevy Chase Dermatology Center. Her practice includes medical and cosmetic dermatology, with a focus on skin cancer screenings, acne, rosacea, management of rashes, photodynamic therapy, lasers, and Botox.

Meaghan is a local Washingtonian and lives with her husband and three children in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Tia Nelson is a licensed Medical Esthetician and a Certified Medical Assistant who has worked at Chevy Chase Dermatology Center as the Head Certified Clinical Medical Assistant since 2014. With several years of experience as a CCMA, Tia has extensive experience in a wide range of dermatological conditions and procedures.

Tia's passion is helping her clients maintain healthy skin and using products and procedures that are based on science to optimize each client's results. She enjoys consulting and educating patients about skincare, performing facials, and helping each client with their unique needs.

Tia offers a variety of treatments to make individuals feel and look great! Her goal is to provide clients with the highest quality professional services. Tia will offer teen facials, back facials, adult facials, eyebrow tinting and shaping, and chemical peels.
